With all due respect to reader Jake Peterson, even though he may be a great history teacher, Jake Peterson can really do a great job at teaching hisd material. However, Jake Peterson relies way too much on H.W. Brands. I do not mind, it is Jake's life, however he spends way too much time making his students read substack articles.

I can't thank you enough for your insight and pithy historical charm. I usually tell my students on the first day of class that you are going to hear the good, the bad and the ugly of US History. There will be days that you will need to take a shower after our discussion and others will make you swell with pride.....welcome to US History.
