I agree, David. I remember a touching political cartoon (probably by Herblock) which appeared shortly after her death in November 1962. A group of people sitting on a cloud in Heaven noticed a new arrival on her way. One said: "Look! It's her!" I also remember that at Democratic Party conventions between the death of FDR and her death, when she entered the balcony, all business came to a halt and she was given a standing ovation.

I know that sounds like an oxymoron, but what I'm trying to say is that a quote may illustrate a truth, even if the person didn't say it or didn't say it exactly that way.
