Another great post, Bill. While I originally thought that A User's Guide to History was going to focus on Brands's Laws of History, I have immensely enjoyed all of the non-law posts. I bet that you ran into a fair amount of material on Stowe while you were writing "The Zealot and the Emancipator". Now that you've finished up "Our First Civil War", any idea what your next book topic will be?
I thought it was mostly going to be Brands's Laws, also. But I get sidetracked easily. I do have another book in the works, but I'm not prepared to say what it's about yet. I need to keep the focus on Our First Civil War.
