Dogfish Head Ales Brewing came out with a line of ales several years ago, releasing one a year called Ancient Ales wherein they work with a molecular biologist and when ancient pottery is found, such as a pot in scandinavia, they work to figure out what was in it and came up with a Viking Ale. they've done this with recipies from China, Turkey, Ethiopia and elsewhere
